Calling all Nourish Volunteers! Join us for a cooking train the trainer mini-series at Myrtle's Kitchen and gain the skills you need to volunteer in our cooking programs. This will be a hands-on, interactive training session to prepare volunteers with food safety and proper knife handling skills, guidelines on timing and structuring a class, as well as open discussion about challenging situations that may arise in group settings, and how to problem solve. During the first two sessions we will be cooking for demonstration and discussion purposes, and during the final class we will cook a full meal, to represent an actual cooking class, complete with time to enjoy the meal together and discuss shared learning.
