Help us clean seeds harvested from GreenUP Ecology Park and Nourish Urban Seed Saving Gardens?
We will provide seed cleaning equipment, teach participants how to use it, and provide some snacks!
You are welcome to bring your own seeds, and we can help clean them too. Communally grown seeds will be eaten, re-planted and available through our Community Seed Library in 2017.
Contact us for more information or with questions.
Join the Trent Vegetable Gardens and Jill Bishop from Nourish Project for this hands-on workshop about Seed Saving basics. Explore the Trent Community Gardens and learn how to identify, collect and clean seeds as we go. We will also touch on the importance of, and reasons why we should save seeds!
Find the Trent Vegetable Gardens by following the gravel road from the NE corner of the DNA Life Sciences Building parking lot.
Rain location: Seminar Room ESC B305 on 3rd floor of Environmental Sciences Building, Trent University
Are you interested in learning how to grow and save your own seeds?
