Empty Bowls

Have  you already heard about Empty Bowls?  Empty Bowls is an event held in communities all over the world to raise awareness about hunger and food insecurity.

The idea is simple. Local potters, from the Kawartha Potters' Guild create unique, handmade bowls which they donate to the event. Guests purchase a ticket to the event for $25 which includes not only their choice of a beautiful hand-crafted bowl but also a wonderful lunch of salads and breads donated by local chefs and restaurants.
