Community Seed Library

Seeds in hand

As of March 31, 2025, the Nourish Project is no longer operational. Information contained in this website is for archival purposes only, to document the incredible work of the Nourish Project and inspire other community-based food advocacy initiatives.

The Community Seed Library is a growing inventory of local, heritage seed varieties that have been adapted to our regional environment through cultivation. The library is maintained as a partnership between Nourish and the Peterborough Community Garden Network.

Our mandate is to work together to grow more high quality locally adapted seed, and to grow more trained seed savers concurrently.
